  To quickly paint in an extra foreground boulder, Scott uses a wet-into-wet technique to rapidly blend multiple colors and values of paint.

  A face-painting progression:
  • With the face masked off, Scott airbrushes in the initial skintones and paints in a few details.
  • Scott uses a small brush to add various colors to the skin tone.
  • Now for the final touches: a beard, some details to the face, and a few cleanup lines to the jacket.
